The Chief of Tetrem Nana Attah Damoah II, has appealed to government to bring to Tetrem Traditional Area some of the jobs, developmental projects and businesses that are springing up all over the country.
He made this request when 2005 chapter of Nsein Old Students Association, NOSA paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Tetrem, a community in the western region.
Thanking the association for their visit, Nana Damoah II bemoaned that most of the youth in his community are doing everything withing their power to progress yet the lack of industries and businesses in the community has seemingly retarded their efforts. The situation he said has forced most of the youth to go in search of jobs elsewhere.
He, therefore, called on Nongovernmental organizations to come to the aid of the Tetrem community. “Any NGO that has plans to support the cause of this community is welcomed. We shall give them the needed support to enable them to succeed in bringing growth and development to us” he stated.
For his progressive forcefulness and success mindedness, the 2005 chapter of his Alma mater, Nsein Secondary school presented a citation to Nana Attah Damoah II.
Presenting the citation to Nana Damoah II on behalf of NOSA 2005, The Vice President of the group, Sampson Joe Abban reiterated the resolve of the Association to support any member of the group that is worthy of emulation.
He said the role being played by chieftaincy in the society leaves an indelible mark on society, and that must not be taken for granted.
Mr. Abban also added his voice to the request of Nana Damoah II Citing that societies like Tetrem form up to make the country and for that reason must be given the fair share of development. “Nana, we appreciate you because we appreciate a position such as this in the delivery of our societal mandates such as development and growth. We are so blessed to have you as a member of NOSA 2005” He says.
