The product prize presentation for winners of the maiden edition of Tv3 kitchen wars, West Africa Senior High School, took place on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at the assembly hall of the school.
After 13 weeks of stiff competition among various senior high schools in the maiden edition of the culinary battle, the Adentan-based school emerged as the winner.
Apart from the bragging rights as the senior high school with the best cooks, the trophy, a cash prize of ten thousand Ghana cedis, and a trip abroad, they also won souvenirs from sponsors, including a 3 months supply of products from the major sponsor, GB foods, producers and marketers of Gino range of products.
Speaking to 3entertainment, the General Manager of GB foods, Mr David Aflu reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the kitchen wars brand and TV3 and also fulfilling their promise of supplying the winning school with products. The first of three supplies for the 3 months as promised. The products include bags of Gino rice, Gino tomato mix, Gino max and others.
The Headmistress of West African Senior High School, Mrs Shine Ofori beaming with smiles and excitement, also shared the positive impact the victory has had on the school, especially the home economics department.
The overall winners, team West Africa SHS, could not hide their joy as they said they are looking forward to coming back next year even greater and better. But for now, the bragging rights belong to West Africa Senior High school.
