William Kwame Atamudzi, the current Regional Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the Eastern is enjoying dominance in the race as almost all surveys have tipped him to win the Chairmanship race scheduled for Saturday November 19.
Few months ago, Election Analytics, an institution with expertise in election survey released a report which placed William Atamudzi ahead of the other contenders.
The Survey, out of which the report was released focused on the branch and ward co-coordinators who are the king makers of the NDC.
It would be recalled that recently the Center for Political Research and Advocacy (CePRA) in a quasi-opinion polls also predicted a win for William Kwame Atamudzi.
According to Cepra, 50% of respondents said, the current Eastern Regional First Vice chairman, was their preferred Regional Chairman for the NDC, a situation which suggests a popular endorsement of Atamudzi for the regional Chairmanship race.
A statement issued and signed by U.L Mustapha, a Research Analyst at CePRA, emphasized that the poll, which was conducted in June, July, August and September 2022, placed him ahead of the four other Candidates in the race.
“Out of the 700 participants in the poll, 622 of the respondents were constituency executives, 78 were former government appointees, Former MMDCEs and founding fathers of the party across 25 out of the 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region”, CePRA statement said.
Other respondents said. Mr William Kwame Atamudzi has the requisite acumen to lead the region better than the other aspirants”, the statement said.
Many among the reasons given were that, the man is very hardworking, a grassroot person, very visible and accessible, very resourceful, understands the party structures, very experienced and appeals to all factions of the party.
Going by these credible surveys, it is highly expected that Mr. William Kwame Atamudzi will emerge victorious in the regional elections tomorrow.
Senaradioonline.com has been in the Eastern region for the past two days interviewing the delegates to know their favorite choice.
Most of them said they were going to vote for Mr. Atamudzi. They cited his magnanimity and support to the Party and individual party members.
“This man – William Atamudzi, we are in opposition but he has been supporting us in anything we do. He provided us with motorbikes for our operations. Anytime we need financial support too, he gives us so he is a good man, so we need to reward him for his good works”, Odame Davis, one of the Delegates said.
“All the other Candidates abandoned the party. Jowak is old. He cannot even walk, Kevor abandoned the party in the 2020 elections, Tawiah Boateng is weak so our surest best for 2024 is William Atamudzi. In Shah Allah he will win”, another delegates told senaradioonline.com.
