The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Youth Employment Agency, Justin Kodua Frimpong, is likely to contest John Boadu for the position of General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the forthcoming national executive elections. This is according to information gathered from discussions on some social media platforms.
The platforms made up of die-hard NPP supports at the grassroot level believes at this point in time where the party is determined to break-the-8 at all cost in the next general elections in 2024, someone with an enterpreneural mindset and youth development at heart is needed to head the administrative front; and that is where Lawyer Justin Kodua’s comes in.
According to the youth, they are rooting for Justin Kodua Frimpong to contest the General Secretary position of the party due to his dedication to the empowerment and support of the youth base of the party into profitable ventures in the country. They are of the view that there is a complete disconnect with the current leadership of the party and the youth at the grassroot level and this needs to change.
In an interview, a youth organizer from one of the constituencies in the Ashanti Region, he told Ghananewsonline.com.gh on the bases of anonymity, that “our current leaders don’t have any plan for the youth, we need someone with the track record of supporting the vulnerable youth of the party and that person can only be Justin Kodua because he has helped many of the party youths in various regions of the country” he noted.
The youth are therefore calling on all the wings of the party to rally behind the astute layer to become the next General Secretary of the great elephant party so they can break-the-eight and remain in power 2024.
