The camp of the senior national team, the Black Stars, will open today, May 30, 2024, as 26 players will be arriving for two crucial fixtures in the next month.
The players will be preparing to face Mali and Central Africa Republic in their next two World Cup qualifiers.
On their arrival, they will undergo a six-day training at the University of Ghana Stadium before they depart for Bamako in Mali for their campaign.
A statement released by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday said, “The team will train at the University of Ghana Stadium for six days before departing for Bamako on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.”
Their first game against Mali will take place at Stade 26 Mars in Bamako on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 7 pm.
Their next game will take place four days later in Ghana at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Players expected in camp include Lawrence Ati Zigi, Joseph Wollacot, Fredrick Asare, Gideon Mensah, Ebenezer Annan, Mohammed Salisu, Jerome Opoku, Abdul Mumin, Alexander Djiku, Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Mohammed Kudus, Ernest Nuamah, Salis Abdul Samed and Ibrahim Sulemana.
The rest are Thomas Partey, Edmund Addo, Elisha Owusu, Abu Francis, Osman Bukari, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Ibrahim Osman, Kamaaldeen Sulemana, and Brandon Thomas-Asante.
A favourable result is expected from the team after losing their last qualifier against Comoros.
