Bawumia possesses the magic wand to break the eight – Nana Akomea

Managing Director of the Intercity STC Coaches Limited, Nana Akomea, has stated that the election of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the best thing for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to hold onto power.
According to him, Dr. Bawumia possesses the magic wand that the party needs to break the eight-year cycle of power alternations between the NPP and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the main opposition party.
He told Accra-based Asaase Radio yesterday that Dr. Bawumia as the NPP presidential candidate will neutralise the NDC’s foothold in the Northern Regions and the Zongo communities across the country.
“I believe that the best thing that happened to the NPP last year was the election of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as flagbearer,” he said.
“When you look at it objectively, he is best placed to allow us to retain office. If you look at the branding of the party of the time, it has been branded as a narrow ethnic party, and when our opponent goes to the Volta Region, that is what they tell the people.”
“We believe that with him as a flagbearer, he will be able to neutralise the NDC within its stronghold in the north and Zongos,” he posited.
According to Nana Akomea, the former Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, the Vice President is currently the most suitable person to govern the nation.
Dr. Bawumia was elected flagbearer of the NPP in November last year after receiving 61.43% of votes cast.
