A video capturing a group of gunmen on motorcycles purported to be Boko Haram militants riding through a forest has gone viral on social media, raising alarm among Ghanaians.
According to a background commentary that explained the video, the riders are militants of the terror group and that upon invading Togo in a forest near the Francophone country’s border with Ghana at Chereponi, they were intercepted by soldiers.
However, intelligent sources tell Whatsup News that the video may not be recent after careful scrutiny. However, the fact remains that terror cells are gradually making incursions close to Ghana’s border, particularly from Burkina Faso.
This trend has put Ghana’s security on edge, with the government asking citizens to be vigilant in crowded spaces.
