Chef Falia’s Cook-a-thon attempt disqualified by Guinness World Record

Chef Faila ended her world record cook-a-thon attempt with 227 hours

The Guinness World Records has disqualified Ghanaian Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak’s Cook-A-Thon attempt.

In a press release by the Coordinator for Failatu Abdul-Razak Cook-A-Thon attempt Kafui Dey and sighted by Elvisanokyenews.com stated that the GWR indicated that the Ghanaian Chef violated the rest break rules.

“The attempt, which captivated audiences worldwide, unfortunately fell short of meeting the stringent guidelines set forth by Guinness World Records. A statement from the Records Management Team cited violation of the rest break rules, resulting in an unsuccessful attempt ” The release said.

The team at Guinness World Records acknowledged Chef Faila’s efforts and encouraged future record proposals. “We commend you for your tremendous efforts with this record attempt. We hope you can still be very proud of what you have achieved.” stated the Records Management Team.

Chef Faila ended her world record cook-a-thon attempt with 227 hours.

Failatu Abdul-Razak was aimed at breaking the Guinness World Record for a cook-a-thon of 119 hours and 57 minutes held by Irish chef Alan Fisher.

Responding to the judgement, Chef Faila expressed profound gratitude to her supporters, sponsors and partners.

“While the outcome may not be what we anticipated, I am deeply thankful for the unwavering support from our sponsors and partners, as well as the encouragement from our fans. Your backing has been instrumental throughout this journey” Chef Faila stated.

“Although this attempt did not result in a world record, it has been an invaluable experience. I am proud of the dedication and hard work put forth, and I am committing to push boundaries in the culinary world” she added.

She also thanked the vice president, Dr. Mahmudu Bawumia and the Second lady, Samira Bawumia and the former president, John Dramani Mahama as well as the Lordina foundation for their support.
