Chosen Children’s Center Receives Essential Items From AmaGhana Online, John Kinney Foundation

AmaGhana Online, one of the leading online news portals in Ghana in partnership with the John Kinney Foundation over the Festivities presented some essential items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to Chosen Children’s Home at Darkuman a suburb of Accra.
The donation included cooking oil, cleaning detergents, packs of drinking water, bags of rice, among other items that formed part of the media organization’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of ensuring that the destitute are offered a helping hand and given maximum support.
Editor-In-Chief of AmaGhanaOnline.com, Mr William Nana Beeko indicated that, the gesture aimed at extending support to the less privileged in the community.
Mr. Beeko mentioned that the donation is a true reflection of angelic sharing and giving to the poor in a season where everybody is excepted to show love towards one another.
“Amaghanaonline.com as a media organization, takes social corporate responsibilities very seriously. Last year for instance, we helped an infant through MTN Ghana Foundation one of our partners, to undergo a hole-in-heart surgery which little girl Alycia is doing very well.

JOHN KINNEY FOUNDATION also shares in the vision to be a leading human-aid organization, providing support in healthcare, education, and capacity building to individuals, families, groups, and communities in Africa.
It is also worth mentioning that the JOHN KINNEY FOUNDATION also undertakes CSR Projects on behalf of a leading International Technology Firm, Sage Microsystems.”
Commending Amaghanaonline.com for their numerous support in the last three years, he reassured that, AmaGhana Online and its key partners will continue to give back to society every year.

On her part, Mary, a volunteer at Chosen Children’s Center who received the items on behalf of the management, lauded Amaghanaonline.com and the John Kinney Foundation for their kind gesture, calling on other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), churches, and other corporate organizations to support the center so they could extend help to other orphans and children still living on the streets of Accra.
Touching on their urgent needs, Mary said, due to the increasing number of children at the center, the home urgently needs, 75 flat-screen televisions, a deep-freezer, a fridge, a commercial blender, microwaves, Gas cookers, cylinders, mattresses, tables, and chairs, and among other things.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked Amaghanaonline.com and the John Kinney Foundation for the kind gesture and asked God to bless them.
Chosen Children Center was founded by Apostles Abena and Cobi Gbingor Washington 17 years ago.
It was developed with the intention of transforming drug and alcohol addicts from the ghettos in the capital city.
Chosen Children Center has since transformed the lives of many destitute and drug addicts, especially in Accra, Kasoa, and other communities in the country.
The center is located at Darkuman, in the Greater Accra Region.
