CLOGSAG: leadership promises to ensure better retirement packages
President of Civil and Local Government Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), Dr. Evans Dzikum, has disclosed that the National Secretariat of the association will not rest in its efforts at ensuring that retirees receive good packages and benefits, beginning January 2020.
He said, the leadership of the Association has taken a position to meet with Ministers, National Pension’s Regulatory Authority (NPRA), Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) and other stakeholders to address the issue.
He said this recently during the CLOGSAG Annual Thanksgiving Service held to thank God for His love and care on members of the Association throughout the year.
He enjoined members of the Association to take keen interest in pension issues because “it’s waiting for us at age sixty”
He thanked the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the Secretariat for their outstanding performances and hardwork throughout the year.
Both Heads of Local Government and Civil Services, Dr. Nana Ato Arthur and Nana Kwasi Agyekum Dwamena wished their members a Merry Christmas and Prosperous year. They promised the members of better conditions of service next year.
“CLOGSAG has proposed 70 percent for all staff as conditions of service and it’s before the Senior Minister now as I speak. Hopefully, by next year it’ll be approved,” he noted.
Present at the service were Heads of departments, agencies and staff under the government machinery.
