Update Ghanaians on the Implications of Taking First Covid-19 Dose Without the Second after Three Months

Governance Watch Ghana is by this release calling on the Ministry of Health and its allied agencies to take steps to inform the general public on the implications of taking the first Covid-19 vaccination without the second after three months.

From the Health Ministry’s recent update spearheaded by the Minister, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu, the government is making arrangements to secure vaccines of the Jonhson & Johnson brand. These vaccines are single-dosed vaccines which means every individual is expected to take just a single vaccine unlike the earlier ones that were to be administered twice.

What is missing, and which the government seems to be losing sight over, is that, a large number of the population who took their first jabs are without any confirmation of when the second dose would be administered.
