Denu R.C. Basic School gets Support from Torgbi Baku IV
Headmistress of the school, Cynthia Aboagyewaa expressed appreciation on behalf of the pupils to the traditional ruler and promised that the materials would be judiciously used.
The Denu Roman Catholic Basic School in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta region, has received two sets of football jerseys, 3 footballs and other sports materials from Torgbi Baku IV, Chief of Denu.
The donation was to enhance extra curricular (sporting) activities in the school.
In a brief remark on his behalf during the presentation on Wednesday March 27, Torgbi Baku who is an old pupil of the school, said, his love for sports and his desire to unearth talents in the field informed his decision to make the donation.
He urged the pupils to take their lessons seriously while also actively participating in sporting activities as there were many potentials in the field of sports.
He pledged his commitment to supporting the school in any way possible to advance it’s academic performance.
