Since he was enstooled as Asantehene 25 years ago, all he has done ab initio, is aimed at achieving that goal.
The many groundbreaking interventions of the Otumfuo Foundation which has given scholarships to thousands of students across Ghana is, but a simple proof of his
commitment towards the growth of his people.
Also, the unmistakable figure of the most revered monarch in the country has, for a very long time, been a voice of reason in mediating both traditional and political conflicts. His contribution towards national development cannot be impugned, and the record bears him out.
Yet again, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has delivered a masterstroke. Today, the people in Kumasi are in good spirits, and the reason is simple.
On April 15, 2024, as part of his Silver Jubilee celebration, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will invite the country to the commissioning of a state-of-the-art 5000-capacity Jubilee Hall in the heart of Manhyia Palace.
This will play host to important functions in the region and also add to the infrastructural development of same. At last, Oseikrom can celebrate a significant measure of jubilation, credit to the King.
The ultramodern auditorium comes with a conference room as well as an office space fit for the King himself. It is the first of its kind in the city. The overall design is indicative of tradition and modernity; truly Asante.
The king, for every moment of his reign, has committed an awful lot to his Kingdom, and now, in the bosom of his palace, he will be immortalized with a building that bears his name.
