Duamenefa Foundation Honours USA Associates
The honour was in recognition of their unflinching support and commitment to the foundation’s Social Intervention programs and projects over the years.
The Duamenefa Foundation – a Volta Region Ghana based Human Rights, Social Intervention and Advocacy Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working to promote peaceful coexistence in society has honoured it’s associates in the USA.
The honour was in recognition of their unflinching support and commitment to the foundation’s Social Intervention programs and projects over the years.
The associates were decorated with beautiful sashes bearing the name of the organization and accolades for their meritorious efforts at a colourful ceremony held in the USA state of Alabama recently.
The associates who were recognized included: Chelsi Matthews, Sharon Bell, Jane and Gary Ellrod, Mary Westcott, Bishop Ricky Bell, Ginger Dailey, Stacie Teer, David Westcott, as well as Mark Helton who is the Foundation’s Human Rights Support Projects Coordinator, Dr. David Kotei Nutakor, a Board Member of the Foundation and its Country Director in the US State of California and Christian Carter, another Board Member and the Foundation’s Director in the USA.
Of particular mention was Rev. Diane Westcott who was corronated as the “Mamaga Duamenefa I” for being the International Director of Operations and also for playing a major social intervention role to save the vulnerable, over the period she has been working with the Foundation in Ghana.
The associates, in showing their appreciation to Duamenefa Foundation and its Founder and Executive President, Emmanuel Ketaman Evortepe for the honour and recognition, commended the Foundation for its sterling flagship Human Rights International projects and encouraged the Duamenefa team to work even harder to achieve greater laurels going forward.
They further pledged their commitment to the course of the Duamenefa Foundation in its bid to ensure a peaceful coexistence in society.
Mr. Félix Abusa, a research student who led a team from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) on a qualitative research on Fafaa FM ‘s Social Intervention programs and currently an MPA student at RUTGERS University-USA, using the Duamenefa project as a case study was also honoured for his outstanding contribution to the Duamenefa project.
The Duamenefa Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization made up of over 31,000 registered and certified volunteers.
The core mandate of the Foundation is to promote peaceful coexistence of people through investigations and interventions in issues that border on infringements of the fundamental Human Rights of the vulnerable of society.
