Election 2024: Ayawaso West Wuogon has a Good Message and Product to Sell – Lydia Alhassan

Maa Lydia as she is affectionately known called for the involvement of all in the upcoming District level elections and urged residents to register in the upcoming limited voter registration exercise.

 

First Deputy Majority Whip and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in the Greater Accra region, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has indicated that the constituency has a message and a good product to sell to the public in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

She has therefore called on the few who are not yet part of the train to join hands for unity of purpose whiles working together to break the eight in the 2024 general election.

Hon Lydia Seyram Alhassan who was addressing hundreds of residents of the constituency including students, party supporters and well-wishers who joined her in a health through some selected streets of the constituency said she has brought several visible developmental initiatives to the area in a short time.

She enumerated several developmental projects including the Abelenkpe AstroTurf, culverts and drainages, roads, scholarships for hundreds of students, enrolment of young people into apprenticeships, support to women traders among several other interventions within the last four years she has served as their representative in Parliament.

She also indicated that the time has come for those do not have their votes in the constituency as registered voters to transfer their votes when the time comes.

According to her the NPP is the only party that wins the tertiary institutions in the capital and debunked claims that the party won the last election due to the absence of students on campus as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The “bulldozer” emphasised that the health walk is aimed at promoting good health as the party gears up for the work ahead saying a healthy nation is a wealthy nation and expressed the hope that it becomes a monthly routine.

Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Greater Accra Regional Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Constituency Chairman and other executives of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency were all in attendance.

The health walk dubbed-waking the talk, was on the theme: Energising to break the eight”.
