“Government could have collapsed within the pandemic period if the NDC government was in power,’’
President Akufo-Addo has promised a level playing field for all aspirants to the party’s flagbearer ship race. He has, however, warned that he will not hesitate to act if the activities of these Presidential hopefuls affect the business of his government.
Asked if he had a favourite to succeed him, the President said he had a vote but not a favourite. He said any of the names making the rounds as possible candidates, have the capability to be President.
President Akufo-Addo said efforts are being made to address the fundamental issues facing the country. He said despite the coronavirus pandemic reducing the gains made, the country is still on the path of progress and prosperity.
“Government could have collapsed within the pandemic period if the NDC government was in power,’’ he said.
President Akufo Addo was speaking on Peace FM, an Accra Based Radio Station during his tour of the Greater Accra region.
He was confident that the Akufo Addo government would better the lives of Ghanaians.
