EOCO arrest 7 Nigerian cyber criminals; rescues 21 trafficked persons

A statement issued by EOCO on Monday, October 3, 2022, says 21 persons believed to be victims of trafficking from Nigeria were also rescued during the swoop.

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has arrested seven Nigerians involved in activities of cyber crime in the country, an official statement has said.

The suspects were arrested following an intelligence led swoop at a house at Manhean, Obeyeyie in the Greater Accra Region.

A statement issued by EOCO on Monday, October 3, 2022, says 21 persons believed to be victims of trafficking from Nigeria were also rescued during the swoop.

The seven suspects have since been remanded into lawful custody whilst investigations are on-going.
