Ga Mantse Applauded for his Support to Diasporans

The support forms part of MOF’s mandate and support for the Year of Return which the organisation has been instrumental in its establishment

Speaking at Suriname Town hall meeting held by the International Convention of Africans in Diaspora and Ministry of the Future at the Ga Mantse palace recently, Dr Maulana showered praises on the Ga Manste and his chiefs for their efforts and helping diasporans secure their Ghanaian citizenship.

He also urged Disporans back home and those yet to arrive to seek support from MOF to secure their Ghanaian citizenship from next year.

“We Give glory to the almighty for allowing this to happen, we thank the office of the Ga Mantse and the Embassy of Suriname for being so concerned about the problems of African diasporans and willing to help, God bless King Tackie Teiko Tsuru ,God bless H.E .Fidelia Graan-Galon and God bless Ghana,” he said.

As part of government’s efforts to establish African descendants of the trans-Atlantic slave trade who return to Ghana and to also help Ghana develop and make significant contributions to the economy, the Government of Ghana introduced a legal process to help the diasporans settle properly under the “Ghana homeland Return Act “.In line with the purpose of the Ghana Homeland Return Act, the MOF is working closely with the government to help diasporans who want Ghanaian to secure it under the new law.
