Gbawe goes gay at the coronation of a New Chief

The Accra township of Gbawe in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality last Friday went gay following the corronation of a new chief for the town under the stool name Nii Boi Kojo II. It was a colorful event. The town virtually went white on the momentous occasion as the chief, sub-chiefs, elders and the general participating townsmen and women all clad in white to jubilate.

The occasion that nearly got marred by infighting among some dissenting royal family members, later went on peacefully since the issue was taken through the Weija Circuit Court the previous Friday. This notwithstanding, the event did take place peacefully amid high security.

Subsequently, the coronation of Nii Boi Kojo II that came on with pump and pageantry, amidst drumming, singing, dancing and merry-making, it even run late into the night.

Addressing the teaming crowd, Nii Boi Kojo II expressed profound gratitude to the Dzaasetse, the kingmakers, elders and the entire populace for the honour done him. He indicated that the stands for peace, unity and development.

“It is with an unquestionable pleasure and gratitude that I stand before you, this day of our Lord. The Dzaase, I first of all wish to express my profound gratitude to the most High father, Allah Almighty for the many wonderful moments of our lives especially my installation as a paramount chief of the Gbawe Traditional Area a few months back, and with my  coronation today,” he commenced.

Transformation of Gbawe Traditional Area

Nii Boi Kojo II, pointed out that his mission is to provide a peaceful environment, capable enough to accommodate positivity and progress. Also, his vision is to build a strong, resilient, robust society that fits into the better Ghana Agenda that will enhance the “Gbawe Beyond Aid Project”.

The corronated chief stated that, armed with these, his administration assures their subjects, tenants, residents and the entire state security that the Traditional Area headed by him, shall under no terms compromise on the peace and security the people enjoy in Gbawe.

“I therefore wish to send a very strong signal to the nay sayers, our detractors that Nii Boi Kojo II, shall at all times collaborate with the security and law enforcing agents to protect the good works of our forbearers. We shall maintain and enhance a resilient and robust security to withstand all shocks of our cherished peaceful Gbawe Traditional Area, since security and peace are bedrocks of development,,” Nii Boi sounded.

Welfare and Well –Being Of the People at Heart

Coronated Nii Boi Kojo II pledged to ensure the welfare and well-being of his Gbawe Kingdom through very sophisticated means; i.e., education infrastructural development, the preservation of their culture, customs and traditions of the land.

Education

Nii Boi stated that in terms of Education, he shall ensure that a viable and solid scholarship scheme is established. This  is he stated, will take care of his people and subjects through collaborations with government, internal and external sources of Funding to enable them achieve this very important price of their lives.

Health care

“Nii Dzaasetse a sound mind, they say is in a sound body. Health needs of our people is of great priority. Therefore, I shall ensure that the establishment of the Gbawe Medical Center and the Gbawe Polyclinic projects see day light,” he assured.

Road Network

The chief noted that road network in the Traditional Area is nothing to write home about. He stated that his administration will liaise with government so that, hand-in-hand, they will change the status –co soonest.

“We shall ensure that our infrastructural needs are met both in the short and long terms,” Nii Boi stated.

Employment

The new Gbawe Mantse indicated that job creation and employment have been his heartfelt desire and priority. While noting that the youth in the area have been yearning for jobs for many years now, he assured them that his administration is committed to ensure that joblessness becomes a thing of the past.

Tradition & Culture.

Nii Boi stated that his administration will ensure that they create a cultural environment project and promote the customs and promote the customs and traditions of the people. In this regard the “Alokoto Festival” shall be adopted by the Gbawe Royal Family as its official festival to enable full participation and necessary support it requires. As a result, the administration will ensure that music and dance like the “Asokor” “Dade” “Awaa”e are taught in the upcoming Training Institute of Cultural, Customs and Traditions.
