Ghana Link’s Chairman Nick Danso picks “Entrepreneur of the Year Award” for second consecutive time at the 6th Ghana Business Awards

The awards provide a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of their business sector while recognizing the key functions within the sector that promote growth and sustainability.

Executive Chairman of Ghana Link Network Services Ltd (Ghana Link), Nick Danso Adjei, has for the second consecutive time, been adjudged the “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the 6th Edition of the Ghana Business Awards (GBA).

The award is in recognition of Mr Danso Adjei’s exemplary and visionary leadership in leveraging technology to automate processes to facilitate trade and increase revenue for national development and successfully steering the implementation of the Integrated Customs Management Systems (ICUMS).

This would be the fifth time Mr Danso Adjei has been adjudged “Entrepreneur of the Year” having previously won the award at the 5th Ghana Shippers Awards in 2022, 5th Ghana Business Awards, 1st and 2nd editions of Ghana CEO Awards and the 6th Ghana Business Awards.

Mr Danso Adjei is the Executive Chairman of not only Ghana Link, but he has also been very successful at starting and running other businesses like the Royal Nick Hotel, the Royal Light, Nick TC Scan (Ghana and Port of Gambia), Misyl Energy BDC, Nick Petroleum and several other companies.

Ghana Link was on the same night honoured with the  “Excellence In Innovation and Technology Award“ for its successful introduction of the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS) at the nation’s ports and borders.

Managing Director of Ghana Link, Nabali Bawa, also on the back of the success of the ICUMS, was also honoured with the Outstanding Leadership Award (Private Sector) for his contributions towards the success of ICUMS and Ghana Link.

The Ghana Business Awards is a prestigious awards programme that recognizes and rewards excellence across all sectors in Ghana. The awards provide a platform to recognize individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of their business sector while recognizing the key functions within the sector that promote growth and sustainability.

The objectives of the GBA include:

  • To reward businesses that have played a defining role in moving their industry forward and have demonstrated achievement across a wide variety of domains including sustainability, operational excellence, innovation, and others.
  • To identify projects and individual achievements that have enabled their business to set themselves apart from their competitors and that have produced clear and compelling value and other relevant results
  • To bring together players in the business industry and recognize achievements from local and international companies involved in promoting the business sector in Ghana.
