Ghanaians are too local – Maxwell Kofi Jumah

“I think we have become too localized to the extent that it is going against us, why Cape Verde come and beat Ghana in football? Because we are here with self satisfaction, not studying what everybody else is doing, because if you don’t know what they are, if they are catching up you won’t know and so Ghanaians need that exposure especially our youth.

The Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Limited, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has urged Ghanaians to have more exposure in the current digitalization world.

According to him, Ghanaians have become too localized but the future of the world is not local.

He said the future of the world is being international and for that Ghanaians should take advantage of the modern digitalization tools in order to compete with the rest of the world in showbiz, education, research, agriculture, sports and everything.

“Yes we have introduced free education but Free education is not going to get you where you are if you don’t take advantage of the tools that Free education is giving you. I want them to have more exposure, they should be able to relate more to the rest of the world than they are doing now. They have become too localized, but the future of the world is not local, the future of the world is international and so Ghanaians should have that exposure so that they can compete with the rest of the world in every field. Whether it is in showbiz, education, research, agriculture, sports, everything, Ghanaians should have that exposure” Kofi Jumah said this in an interview with Adubia TV monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com.

The former Member of Parliament for Asokwa and former KMA Mayor indicated that self satisfaction and localization is affecting Ghanaians.

He believes Cape Verde was able to beat Ghana in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament held in Ivory Coast because Ghanaians don’t study what others are studying.

Where the world is going, we have every opportunity to cataport our country into first world status because of digitalization because all of the sadden, the whole world is at our fingerprint, You can relate and deal with anybody in the world because it is at our fingerprint”. Kofi Jumah indicated.
