Gloria Akpene Nyarku (MzGee) – A Banker turned Entertainment Journalist

MzGee was born on the 1st of April to her parents who both hail from the Volta Region in Ghana. Media practitioner MzGee is a product of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She did her internship at TV3 before continuing her education at GIMPA.
MzGee began her media career as a presenter at CCTU in 2005 after which she moved to Skyy TV and Pravda radio. The media presenter was said to have contested in a reality show dubbed Hottest Host. The entertainment presenter used to be a banker but resigned so she could pursue her dreams in the media sphere.
She joined Multimedia in 2014 and was a panelist and later hosted the Campus Show and Day Break on Hitz FM. In 2018, she launched a TV show called Gee Spot on Joy Prime and was attended by MzVee, KiDi, Ben Brako among others.
The presenter moved to Media General in November 2019 where she worked as a presenter and host of the entertainment show on both TV3 and 3FM. MzzGee is also a producer. She was labeled as the first and only female member on the 3Music Awards Board in 2019.
The sensational presenter has done lots of interviews with top personalities in the country and abroad. She is said to have worked in many top stations like Joyprime, Skyy TV as well as TV3 and 3FM where she resigned on October 15, 2021.
She has covered many programs such as the Ghana Music Awards and the African Movie Academy Awards. On the 25th of February, 2023, Akpene was granted her first ever opportunity to host the United Showbiz Program. And became the host of UTV Showbiz permanently from March 2023 till date. She recently celebrated her one year with the station.

She is married to Raymond Acquah who is also a journalist. They got married in October 2017. The couple used to be co-workers at Multimedia Group.
