Head teacher of Gomoa Nsuaem school – Mr Harrison Kwame Wolanyo Aglago, has distributed free exercise Books to students in the school as part of efforts to improve teaching and learning in the area.

Mr Aglago said, the distribution was very paramount in this economic crisis as some children come to school without Books to do their exercise which in effect contribute to the low performance of students in their studies, something which is inimical to the progress of education in the area.

He said education is key in changing society, hence his topmost priority to ensure that the students in the school secure better future.

According to him, he felt disheartened anytime he sees most of his students sitting idle in class due to lack of Books when class exercise is in session.

He said exercise books play very pivotal role when it comes to teaching and learning. This is because when teachers give class works, assignment or exercises children need exercise book to write, which is why he believes that the donation will relieve the burden of parents and enables the children to come to school and study without hindrance.

The exercise Books were distributed from Basic 1 through to Junior High School 3 with each student receiving at list eight exercise Books.

He said all students regardless of their life circumstances; deserve good and quality education that will propel them to reach high standards of performance in his/her studies.

One of the surest ways to unlocking that potential in students is ensuring that he or she is embraced with a culture of high expectations and learn from great teachers in a great school run by great teachers and staff” he stressed

He heaped praises on friends, family and philanthropists who came to support the distribution exercise.

He also  used the opportunity to thank many kind hearted individuals including madam Charity Amenu, Mr Madison Adenusa who is the NDC Parliamentary Aspirant for Gomoa Central, Mr Munifi the Cheif Executive Officer (C.E.O) of Voltic Cool for their humanitarian services.

He called on individuals, cooperate bodies and philanthropists within the community to also extend their assistance in helping the students with learning materials to aid the teaching and learning in school.
