I have suspended three delegates: Annoh Dompreh brags
The MP also boasted of causing the transfer of one of the suspended polling station executives, who is also a teacher, from the Darman Ahuntem MA Basic JHS to Otu Kwadwo Basic School.
In a grand display of power and influence, the Member of Parliament for the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency in the Eastern Region, Frank Annoh Dompreh, has boasted to a cross-section of polling station executives from the 29 electoral areas of his achievement in suspending three polling station executives from Darman Electoral Area.
The MP also boasted of causing the transfer of one of the suspended polling station executives, who is also a teacher, from the Darman Ahuntem MA Basic JHS to Otu Kwadwo Basic School.
The MP made this known at an emergency gathering of polling station executives on February 25, 2023, at Nsawam. He further directed the constituency Chairman to continue to undertake such suspensions and serve as a deterrent to other executives who he claimed to have visited the residence of a potential contender in the upcoming parliamentary primaries in the constituency.
The MP told the polling station executives that because of his position as Majority Chief Whip, he has the most development projects in his constituency than any other MP in the Parliament of Ghana. He further mentioned to the delegates that his position entitles him to protection from competition and that he has the support of the party in Accra to go unopposed.
Delegates who spoke to this reporter expressed disappointment in the MP’s posture and swore to resist any attempt to prevent other candidates from contesting the primaries.
