Improved mobile telephony services in North Dayi communities underway – Ursula assures MP

This comes after the MP for the area, Joycelyn Tetteh filed a question in Parliament wanting to know the steps being taken to improve mobile telephony in Botoku, Tsoxor and Awatey located in the North Dayi District.

The Minister of Communications and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has outlined the measures being put in place to ensure an improvement of mobile telephony services in communities located in North Dayi.

This comes after the MP for the area, Joycelyn Tetteh filed a question in Parliament wanting to know the steps being taken to improve mobile telephony in Botoku, Tsoxor and Awatey located in the North Dayi District.

Appearing before the House on Monday, December 11, 2023, to answer the question, the Minister emphasized the commitment of the Akufo-Addo-led government to extend the Rural Telephony programme.

She also assured the MP that a site has been constructed in Tsoxor to boost mobile telephony services.

“Mr Speaker, GIFEC has secured land and built a site in Tsoxor and a connectivity drive test and site survey has been conducted in Botoku. Efforts will be made to survey, acquire and build sites in the remaining communities as soon as funding is secured to extend the RTP,” she said.
