Ketu North NDC Parliamentary Primaries: Gabriel Tanko Picks Forms to Contest

Tanko has received overwhelming support from the constituents to run for the position, because of his rich knowledge and commitment to the affairs of the party.

 

A leading contender in the Ketu North National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary race, Gabriel Kwamigah- Atokple Tanko has successfully picked up his nomination forms and also duly paid his GHC 40, 000.00 filing fee following the opening of nominations by the party ahead of it’s Presidential and Parliamentary primaries scheduled for May, this year.

The Parliamentary hopeful who is making his second attempt at the polls after losing to incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Dr James Klutse Avedzi in 2019, said in an interaction with Ghananewsonline.com.gh, that his picking of the nomination forms and prompt payment of his filing fee “demonstrated my commitment and readiness for the task ahead.”

The Parliamentary hopeful who has served in various capacities of the party both at the Constituency and national level and is currently a member of the National Welfare Committe of the party as well as a member of the Ketu North and Volta regional Finance committees of the party is tipped as the best replacement for the current MP, Dr James Klutse Avedzi who has reveled his intentions not to run for the position again after serving for a record four terms.

Tanko has received overwhelming support from the constituents to run for the position, because of his rich knowledge and commitment to the affairs of the party.

The Parliamentary aspirant said with the backing of his teaming supporters and by the grace of God, he is hopeful of winning the Primaries and eventually the Parliamentary Seat for the Ketu North Constituency.

The astute business professional and family man is married with three kids.

He assured all members of the party in the Ketu North Constituency of launching and prosecuting a campaign of issues, devoid of insults and attacks going into the primaries and the national elections.

He further promised to unite the party going forward and to work hand-in- hand with all members of the party towards a resounding victory for the great NDC in the 2024 general elections.

Tanko thanked all party faithful for their support to him over the years in his bid to see a better and prosperous Ketu North and assured them that he will not let them down when they elect him as their Parliamentary candidate and subsequently the Member of Parliament for the Constituency.

The aspirant has in the last few weeks been touring the various branches and wards of the party in the constituency interacting with the party members and preaching to them his message of New Dawn- “Nubuke”
