Kingdom Business: CACI Youth Ministry launches initiative to raise funds to support Church Projects

The National Youth Ministry of the Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), has launched an initiative to raise funds from among the youth and other church members for the purposes of supporting the developmental projects of the church often referred as “Kingdom Business” while winning souls for Jesus Christ.

The ceremony which took place at the GNAT Hall in Accra on Saturday April 9, 2022 was also used to unveil a brand new logo to facilitate the branding activities of the youth ministry.

Dubbed “The Generals” the initiative involves a group of young men and women dedicated to supporting and financing the Kingdom Business by making regular financial contributions and or availing themselves as volunteers to support projects and activities of the church.

It will ride on the back of CACI’s overall general mission and vision of seeking to bring salvation in Christ to all persons in the world who are perishing, by preaching and teaching the gospel of Christ in the Holy Scriptures, and promoting socio economic development.

“As a ministry, and with a mission in line with that of the general church, the leadership of the youth has decided to raise this group of loyal, dedicated and committed members who are willing and able to help finance key projects and activities of the youth ministry and the church at large, so as to bring salvation to the perishing and also touch lives positively through the promotion of socio economic developments,” stated Elder Anthony Arthur who is the National Treasurer of the Youth Ministry.

Delivering the keynote address, the General Secretary of the Christ Apostolic Church International, Apostle Samuel Amponsah Frimpong, while praising the initiative also lamented that the church is not in the lead when it comes to representation in national affairs irrespective of the fact that it has been around for over a 100 years.

“As a church we have used our energy for a lot of things that have not been fruitful. We have spent a good number of our time fighting among ourselves. For example we have undervalued the role of women in the church. We need to position ourselves in top places so that we can influence national policy with the God factor. How many CAC members are working at the Jubilee House? It is sad that not a single CAC member is in Parliament…We need to send the gospel across and it is refreshing that the youth are taking the charge with this initiative called ‘The Generals’” he stated.

According to him, “there are villages in this country that have no Christians. There are villages that don’t have a single CAC sign board so ‘The Generals’ must help change this narrative,” he charged the youth.

In his remarks, the Christian Education Director of CAC, Apostle Joseph Kwaku Arhin, noted that the initiative is a good one as it will help push the church to the next level. “We are optimistic that it will succeed so let us all support it with our efforts and prayers.

Among others things, “The Generals” seeks to promote the spirit of volunteerism and instill the sense of ownership among the youth to enable them take charge of the future of the CAC by accepting the clarion call for church growth and evangelism.

According to the youth leadership, membership of “The Generals” is opened to anyone who shares in the faith of the Christ Apostolic Church International and support the cause of kingdom business. Funds raised would be used for projects such as Church buildings, health facilities, portable water, farming projects and school infrastructure.

To become a member, one must be ready to make regular contributions of a minimum amount of Ghc 50 or be available to provide support services in kind.

 

Membership benefits include yearly recognition by the church, opportunity to participate in annual business and trainings from seasoned Business Executives and Entrepreneurs, opportunity to meet business partners for leads and opportunity to meet national executive leaders of the church for special spiritual sessions.

The Logo

The new logo of the youth Ministry speaks of the “Holy Ghost Baptism” in May 1923 at Asamankese, the belief in “Water Baptism” and how “The Youth” in the church are filled with this power to possess and spread the gospel to the world.

It further establishes that “The Youth” can achieve this through “Unity”, “Living” and “Walking” in the ways of God.
