Mahama deserves Special Reward for his massive Infrastructure Development in the Ashanti Region – Snr NPP Communicator
One of NPP’s senior communicators, Akwasi Afrifa Akoto has commended former President John Mahama for the massive projects he implemented in the Ashanti Region.
The NPP wrote a special post on his Facebook wall commending the former President for his unprecedented achievement (Infrastructure development) in the region.
Read what he wrote on his Facebook wall;
“Kumasi International Airport and Kajetia_______
One day, when all is said and done, Santeman would have to reward John Maama with an award.
Two Oman changing developments, two Oman defining monuments happened under his govt. And Santeman has not witnessed such monumental projects since 1957.
But Maama’s reward will not be a political award. For we shall not vote for him come December 2020. It will be a non-political reward and thus would carry more weight -coming from the hearts of Santefuo.
The beautiful part is that these projects are on schedule.- albeit a few delays here and there especially Kajetia- central market with our mothers.
And the way funds and what not were sourced for these projects, no way would they get stalled like Boankra and others.
Many helped in perpetuating the fact, that John Maama had spent $29m just to extend the runway for planes to land at Kumasi airport at night. Wasted money was the propaganda. But in reality, the runway extension was just phase one of the project…like Phase one of the $300m plus Kajetia-central market as seen in the third picture attached. First two pictures: Phase two of Kumasi International airport.
When the three phases of the airport are completed, Kumasi b3 y3 kra b3 hw3. No wonder the King was dancing that night. Soon the King would be proud of his city, a city befitting a King. All thanks to John Maama.
In 2009, Otumfuo the Santehene rewarded JJ with an award for service done for Santeman. Many Santefuo were baffled by the award. JJ? (Check out my article “Fallout: Otumfuo rewards Rawlings.”) But the King knew best. Aban b3 ba, aban b3 ko.
John Maama’s time will come.”
President Mahama performed the sod cutting ceremony after securing parliamentary approval of a loan of 65,037,500 Euros from Banco Santander S.A. and export credit support from the United Kingdom Export Finance Agency, for onward lending in the sum of 7,762,500 Euros, to the Ghana Airports Company Limited, in November, 2016,”
