Mahama grieves with Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia lost his mother on Monday morning.

Former President of John Dramani Mahama has consoled the Vice President of Ghana over the loss of the latter’s mother.

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia lost his mother on Monday morning.

She is reported to have died at a health facility in Accra where she was on admission receiving treatment after being ill for some time.

Eighty-one years old mother of the Vice President is a native of Kpasenkpe in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region.

She was one of the first northern female students to gain admission to the prestigious Wesley Girls High School in Cape Coast in the Central Region.

The former President wishing his condolences said he “just got off the phone with my brother, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to console him and the entire family on the loss of their mother, Hajia Mariama Bawumia earlier this morning. May Allah grant her a peaceful rest”.
