Melcom Group to re-launch Pizza Hut in Ghana
Pizza Hut is globally recognized as the largest Pizza Chain, with more than 18,000 restaurants in over 100 countries worldwide.
Melcom Group of Companies has announced its entry into the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) business following its acquisition of the International Franchisee Rights for Pizza Hut in Ghana. This franchisee will be operated by Skyline Investments Limited – one Melcom’s subsidiaries.
Pizza Hut is globally recognized as the largest Pizza Chain, with more than 18,000 restaurants in over 100 countries worldwide. It will soon be re-launched in the Ghanaian food market.
Briefing some selected Editors on the new business opportunity at a dinner forum on Wednesday September 1, 2021 at Accra, Director of Communications of the Melcom Group, Godwin Avenorgbor, said “Melcom Limited has a network of 50 plus retail outlets and is continuing to grow at a rapid rate, adapting to meet the needs of its customers across the country. This makes it possible to bring shopping to the doorstep of Ghanaians nationwide, making Melcom the place “Where Ghana Shops”.
Now with the introduction of Pizza Hut, it aims to be the preferred destination for families to have the “World’s Best Pizza”.
The Group’s Board of Directors commented “We are extremely excited and optimistic about our partnership with Pizza Hut in Ghana. This new area of business takes our vision of being a diversified group one step ahead and creates more employment opportunities alongside our expansion of existing core retail business. We will announce the re-launch of the brand very soon and scale-up considerably across the country in the next couple of years.”
