Mentally challenged man kills four people in Banda-Nkwanta
The deceased has however been buried in accordance with Islamic customs whiles the injured are receiving treatment at the hospital.
A man believed to be mentally challenged has killed four persons in Banda-Nkwanta in the Bole District of the Savannah Region on Sunday.
According to reports, the mentally challenged man, identified as Daganaa murdered the said persons with a machete after he was denied entry into a washroom in a nearby house where he stabbed one of the residents.
Reports further indicated that he then ran to another compound, where he reportedly entered another room, and killed two children, 10 and 12 years whiles they were asleep.
Another man who was resting in his compound was not spared in the attacking spree.
This prompted residents to call the police for assistance and upon their arrival, some of the officers got attacked by the mentally challenged man who was in a hide out in one of the rooms.
His attack on the police also led them to open fire which subsequently resulted in his death.
