An Independent Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Ebo Gyebi, has cautioned Politicians who spend huge amounts on delegates during political party primaries instead of using it on nation-building to resist from it.

“It is disgusting for us the politicians, especially the political parties to pay much attention and focus on delegates or only our members while an entire Community and Constituency are in dire need of development” Gyebi stated.

According to Mr. Gyebi who is the lead consultant at E. G. Prime Consultants – a business strategy focused organization which is into training and empowering the youth towards Nation-building, any person who wins an election through Vote-buying does not have any vision for the people in his or her Constituency whether primaries or general elections and that such politicians only do so for their “parochial interest.”

He said “everybody wants to be a branch executive due to the money delegates make during internal elections of the various political parties, we should rather be mindful of the development of the country over our personal gains.

“Let us vote for those who have a vision in order to bring development to our various constituencies, communities, and Mother Ghana as a whole after winning political power,” he told ghananwsonline.com.gh in an interview.

He emphasized the need for Ghanaians to understand that politics is a game for each and everyone to play without any form of difficulty but due to the poor political system in Ghana, political parties have turned to tribalism. He described the development as most dangerous as it can cause conflicts in the Country if care is not taken.

“According to electoral commission rules, we vote for a candidate but not a political party,” he stated.

He urged the people of Nhyiaeso not to vote on partisan lines but for a candidate who has the vision to bring more development, create jobs, a trustworthy person, someone who is poised to maintain peace and stability to the people, a candidate who puts the people first in all his endeavor.

Ebo Gyebi believes that he is the preferred candidate to represent the people of Nhyiaeso Constituency in Parliament come December 7 and that he will surely win the election.

He says he is the right Candidate to rescue the Constituency from its slavery as he claimed the Constituency has been overburdened with dictators and leaders who could not lobby for its development. He says it is a time for the voters in Nhyiaeso Constituency to choose an Independent Candidate to change the fortunes of the Constituency.
