NPP government the most innovative in Ghana’s history- Musah Superior asserts

“Government for the first time in the history of Ghana, since Kwame Nkrumah’s regime is running two types of government. It has never happened in our political history. We have always run the status-quo government, with all the previous administration building markets, hospitals, schools, roads and among others...."

Deputy Chief Executive for the Forestry Commission and Former Mayor of the Tamale Metropolis, Musah Superior, has opined that the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) has implemented the most ground-breaking policies in the political history of Ghana.

According to him, the Akufo-Addo government runs two types of government beyond the ordinary status-quo with government management which has never been witnessed in Ghana’s history.

Speaking to Don Kwabena Prah, host of the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ socio-political talk show on Happy98.9 FM, Musah said the Akufo-Addo administration has moved beyond the infrastructural development to improving the intangible social aspects of lives.

“Government for the first time in the history of Ghana, since Kwame Nkrumah’s regime is running two types of government. It has never happened in our political history. We have always run the status-quo government, with all the previous administration building markets, hospitals, schools, roads and among others. However, a visionary Akufo-Addo government saw that we can not only rely on the status-quo but we can be innovative to cater for the places that have been ignored for a very long time, including our social thinking and development, he said.

Making reference to the introduction of the free Senior High School policy, he added, “Akufo-Addo realized that one of the things that can make a country stronger is education. Therefore, the implementation of the free SHS policy. This made room for a lot of Ghanaians to get easy access to education right from the basic level to the second cycle education. That was a very significant policy and in fact, my judgement is that, this has been the most important policy in the history of the country.”

He further encouraged Ghanaians and the opposition members to share opinions on the management of the country’s affairs, however, he advised against undermining the integrity and personality of an individual.
