Odododiodioo Constituency joins the United Gadangme Caucus Train
After the official closure of the event, the membership registration and issuance of ID cards continued with lots of music and dance.
Over the weekend on the 3rd of March 2024, the political almighty Odododiodioo constituency, the epic centre Ghana politics and constituency of Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the first President of Ghana onboard the United GaDangme Caucus train making them the 17th constituency to onboard.
The Odododiodioo event held at the Jubilee in the Korle Wonko ward saw an array of tradition, religion, modernity and culture. The diverse guests on the high table were a true reflection of the uniqueness of the constituency.
It is no doubt that the event under the direction of Mr Michael Annan who also delivered the welcome address showed a sterling performance of good planning. The protocol was felt by all.
Anybody versed with political activities of the Odododiodioo knows that the constituency is the heart beat of the NDC with Hon Nii Lantey Vanderpuye as MP of the constituency who was present and spoke at his animated best.
Also present was Hon Alfred Kotey Ashie, parliamentary candidate of the constituency for the 2024 general election. He also spoke and encouraged all present to vote massively for the NDC come 7th December.
Hon Nii Armah Ashietey, Madam Aryetey, Mr Nartey and the party constituency chairman, Hon. Paul Oblie Laryea were some of the other speakers. Also present were Hon Happy Ogboo McCarthy, Hon. Dorcas Naa Korklue Afortey, the Quarcoopome sisters, Imams and Islamic schorlars, constituency executives and many other party faithful.
Five (5) Constituency executives were appointed including a coordinator and three (3) ward executives for each of the seven (7) out of the eight (8) wards in the comstituency. They were sworn into office by Nii Armah Addy Esq. Their core mandate in the short term is to lead the membership drive and the campaign to ensure all GaDangbe people are united with a single purpose of advancing the course of GaDangbe in the NDC party and Ghana at large.
And for the first time of our membership drive the United GaDangme Caucus was able to register two hundred (200) members and instantly issued seventy (70) identification cards to registered members.
One of the tasks of the United GaDangme Caucus coordinators is to register a minimum of 5,000 GaDangme people who are non-card bearing members of the NDC to become card bearing members of the NDC. It is the firm belief of the leadership of the United GaDangme Caucus that the caucus will register a minimum of one million GaDangme people before the December general elections to vote en bloc for the NDC.
Odododiodioo noted for great music and dance, the night could not have passed without enough entertainment. After the official closure of the event, the membership registration and issuance of ID cards continued with lots of music and dance. Participants were very well refreshed.
