Opinion: A man who can twist the tenets of his faith for power can sell his very soul for it
Imagine going as far as Zachariah to prove that yea, you know the Bible, Zachariah that most Christians don't even open their Bible to more than once for a year.
Zachariah 4:1 instead of Zachariah 4:6 is not a big deal, even Pastors make such errors. Usually, when you are not sure, you can simply say: “it is written in the Bible that…” or it is written in the book of Zachariah that… “Generally though, it’s not a big deal. Some even say Zachariah when it’s in Habakkuk.
The is simple: the fact that I want to be President and being a Christian doesn’t mean in my quest to win the votes of Muslims, I should go to mosques and be telling them that “Christians believe Mohammed was sent by God”, we don’t. In fact, Christians believe Mohammed won’t make heaven; it would amount to a betrayal of my Christian faith to do this. I don’t have to be going round mosques preaching from the Quran and trying to act like I have since God knows when been a student of their book.
The central theme of Christianity is the Deity of Jesus, Muslims don’t believe that, in fact, they believe that God will judge all who worship Jesus and that in the last days, Jesus himself will bear witness against such people. To the Muslim, Christians are going to hell for worshiping Jesus.
The Quran has a different view of Jesus, He is not the son of God, he is a messenger, he was not crucified, God rescued him from them, it doesn’t give any negative account of Jesus, it only has a different view of Jesus as a messenger in the rank of:
Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma’il (Ishmael), Musa (Moses), Dawud (David), Isa (Jesus) and Muhammad. It’s their faith, this post is not about who is right or wrong. Wrong or right in religious conversations has never been a progressive conversation.
When we expose these lies by Dr Bawumia because thankfully, some of us are informed, you say we are against him because he is bringing religious unity. What a mediocre way of looking at issues. Religious unity implies living together in peace despite differences. It’s not about indoctrination.
