Opinion: Why we cannot describe Serwaa Amihere as a person with Good Morals

We are putting such dirt in the face of Ghanaians as a role model for our kids to learn from, and some people have the courage to insult people for expressing their opinion about this nonsense.

This morning I read that GHOne TV did not put Serwaa Amihere on TV.
I dare say they should have done that from the first day the sex tape came out and they realized she was in bed with the husband of a fan who paid her and her god-mother to appear at her wedding.
Let’s put some flesh on this matter.
1. I think Serwaa Amihere is morally bankrupt and the impression she, her god-mother and some media personalities are creating that someone is trying to break her but she is strong, is nothing but hypocrisy and disingenuous. In fact her posturing only confirms how deep her moral bankruptcy is.
2. I think EIB, in allowing her to still show up on the screen after such a disgraceful, selfish, greedy and immoral behavior, was condoning wrongdoing as a brand and it worried me that the management of the company continued to put her on air and the board of directors and owners of the platform also looked on unconcerned, for their business to be dragged in the mud by these selfish and immoral girls to whom they have provided a platform, which gives them the opportunity to take advantage of fans in this manner.
3. Your girl got a gig to appear at a fan’s wedding, where her god-mother (an EIB Management Member) was the MC. From what we are told, the fan paid them good money for the appearance. Months later Serwaa is sleeping with the fan’s husband, for an alleged ghs2,500 a day, and now the fan, who has three children with the husband is a divorcee and is now living outside of the country.
4. To even confirm how morally bankrupt and shameless she is, she filmed the whole act and shared it with her sex partner, according to the man, to try and get him to forgive her for some wrong she did against him.
5. Upon all this, EIB, because they want more eyeballs triggered by this shameful controversy, continued to put this lady on air just to drive up numbers. I was thinking, was EIB not minded that the fan (a viewer of the station) saw Serwaa on TV and that was how she became her fan. Now if Serwaa has taken undue advantage of that opportunity to harm the fan in this manner, shouldn’t EIB at least consider the feelings of the fan and ask Serwaa to excuse herself off the screen in the meantime? Should you allow her to come on TV and even do Instagram live in that disrespectful manner?
6. Indeed, in every serious country, even brands associated with someone who could do this to a fan, will completely dissociate themselves from her even ahead of any investigation.
This is totally nauseating. We are putting such dirt in the face of Ghanaians as a role model for our kids to learn from, and some people have the courage to insult people for expressing their opinion about this nonsense.
So, if the management and board of EIB have finally found reason to keep her off the screen for now, I think it is a decision in the right direction. Any serious brand associated with her must also advise themselves, I think. We can’t have husband snatchers, selfish money chasers and immoral characters driving brands in our faces as if they qualify for us to listen to them.
Physical beauty is good but it is totally vain without good morals. Clearly, this lady is not one that we can describe as a person with good morals. Let’s be frank.
My two pence.
