Management urged GLOA and CLAAG to channel all grievances through the Manager in charge of VAG and Private Lotto Operations (PLOs) of NLA, who acts as a liaison between the Authority and the PLOs.

Management of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) wishes to thank the Executives of the Ghana Lotto Operators Association (GLOA) and the Concerned Lotto Agents Association of Ghana (CLAAG) for honouring the invitation to dialogue with the Authority.

Following that meeting, NLA has resolved to hold periodic meetings with GLOA and CLAAG to improve upon the channels of communication.

Management urged GLOA and CLAAG to channel all grievances through the Manager in charge of VAG and Private Lotto Operations (PLOs) of NLA, who acts as a liaison between the Authority and the PLOs.

Management also entreated them to desist from making unfounded allegations in the media as the offices of NLA are always opened to them.

Further to that meeting, Management of NLA has also written to all Private Lotto Operators, (PLOs) to notify them that effective 14th October 2022, they are to fully comply with the payment of the Lotto Commission not exceeding twenty percent (20%) as determined by the Board of the National Lottery Authority and agreed by the PLOs, pursuant to Section 28 of the National Lotto Act, 2006 (Act 722).

In accordance with this notification, NLA shall deploy its task force in conjunction with the security services nationwide, to ensure full compliance with payment of the Lotto Commission.

Failure and/or Refusal to comply with this Notice, shall result in NLA exercising its statutory mandate to revoke the License, not renew same and/or ban the Lotto Operator from operating for a minimum of five (5) years, without prejudice to any other rights in and at law.
