Poem: “What a Solid Team”
They blame everyone and everything but never themselves.
With words they painted a Paradise
They offered hope beyond the horizon
They captured the soul and spirit of the nation
The incorruptible and the economic Messiahs have arrived.
They won the approval of our thumps
The driving seat was taken from the ‘incompetent one’.
Through schemes of questionable integrity
Create, loot and share and mismanagement became their hallmark.
They blame everyone and everything but never themselves.
They blame Russia/Ukrain
They blame COVID-19
They blame previous governments
They blame slavery
They blame colonialism
In fact they even blame God for making us black
When the books exposed their super incompetence
The chief ventriloquist admits to taking us into the woods
Needing the Bretton Woods to the rescue
After six years in the driving seat.
True leaders admit failure when they face the obvious
But no! Not these book long economists who govern with textbook theories.
When we called for their resignation, they tell us a father does not abandon his children just because he changed his mind. Next time we will be careful with a Bible quoting man in white kaftan.
They have willed the nation to themselves and their generations forever.
With the power of our thumb we await the next election to chase the elephant into the bush.
Incompetent self-serving braggarts.
What a Solid Team indeed!
