Police on manhunt for attackers of Odike

According to sources, the attackers who held pistols were led by one Jamal, who is currently on the run with his accomplices.

The Police in the Ashanti Region are on a manhunt for the persons who attacked the office of the founder of United Progressive Party, Akwasi Adae Odike.

The regional command which dispatched officers to the scene following the attack confirmed that some damages were caused to the glass doors, vehicles, tv and chairs at the office of Odike.

According to sources, the attackers who held pistols were led by one Jamal, who is currently on the run with his accomplices.

Odike’s office was attacked by gunmen on Monday August 22.

According to his bodyguard Francis Addae, “some unidentified group stormed his office with guns and vandalised some items at his office.”

He also alleged the “armed group also shot into my saloon car.”

“I heard three gunshots,” his body guard told Akoma FM’s Ekow Darko in an interview.

He added that “Odike managed to escape.”
