QNET marks World Health Day with Stakeholder Information Engagement

QNET, a renowned wellness and lifestyle focused direct selling business, has marked this year’s World Health Day with a health and wellness stakeholder information session in Accra.

This year’s global celebration themed “My health, my rights” resonates with QNET’s theme for the month of April – “Championing in Health”, underpinning the significance of health education at all times.

Addressing the session on his behalf, Regional Manager for QNET in Sub-Saharan Africa, Biram Fall, noted among others, that, the company is celebrating 26 years in the global direct selling industry, impacting millions of lives across the world in areas of health, wealth, lifestyle and education.

He noted that the event is to inform and educate the public on healthy Nutrition Dietetics and supplements from Nutrition Experts in Ghana, as well as showcase some health and wellness products from QNET.

Mr. Fall asserted that QNET is recognized worldwide for manufacturing tried and tested products to address various heath challenges depending on natural ingredients and technologies

“QNET manufactures and distributes health and wellness products, such as dietary supplements, skincare products and lifestyle accessories designed to address various health and nutritional challenges. We often use natural ingredients and advanced technologies in the development of these products.

Mr. Fall also indicated that QNET is a socially responsible and committed company, impacting and empowering people in society at every opportunity through their RYTHM Foundation, thereby giving back to society at any given opportunity.

“In Ghana, and on several occasions, we have collaborated with and made donations of cash, food, drinks and toiletries to educational funds.”

Meanwhile, a Nutritionist and Dietitian with the University of Ghana, Dr. Justina Owusu, in her address on World Health Day and Importance of supplements in Nutrition explained that supplements are mainly for individuals with nutrient deficiency or on restricted diets, older adults, pregnant women and athletes.

She emphasized that supplements are relevant in meeting nutritional needs thereby restoring balance when deficiency occurs. She also opined that eye health, enhance athletic performance and weight control can be some benefits attributed to supplements.

Dr. Owusu, however noted that the high cost of supplements, coupled with its taste and drug interaction are issues worth noting by users. She further advised users of supplements to pay attention to the ingredients, while cautioning against expiration date of this drugs when purchasing them.

A Nutritionist and Dietitian at the Nyaho Medical Centre, Dr. Frank Marful, in his presentation on Nutrition and Supplements referenced QNET Products and noted that the future of Nutraceuticals in promoting health is driven by new technologies, a more vigilant consumer base and future prospecting.

World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated on April 7 of every year  by the World Health Organization (WHO) and other related organizations.
