Founder, Leader and General Overseer of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International (GWPMI), Apostle Dr. Rev. Owusu-Bempah, has indicated that he has not kept quiet over recent happenings in the country; rather, he has taken a cool position.

According to him since he got embroiled in a legal tussle with the police a few months back, he has had many calls from people with some wondering why he should keep so quiet over recent and on-ongoing developments in the country; with some others claiming that he had kept quiet because President, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo is his bosom friend.

Apostle Owusu-Bempah maintained that his lawyers have taught him lessons on contempt of court hence his cool position on the case pending before court, else, he would have gone out these to explain the matter. What is more, since out these isn’t the night platform, but the court, he will do the explanation of one of these for all to understand him and his position.

He indicated further, that since he did not want to have contempt with the police; he had further maintained this calm position, as his enthused congregation burst into laughter.

The lively Apostle maintained further that some people were claiming that had the current hardship in the country happened under any government, he would have been making noise all over the place. He stated that there is time for everything and that God’s time is the best.

IT’S GOD WHO ESTABLISHES KINGDOMS

In his sermon, titled “king makers”, which he buttressed with Daniel 4:17, Apostle Owusu-Bempah pointed out that since it is God who establishes kingdoms, He gives it to who He wants, and not according to the will of man.

He stated that it was against this background that God taught Nebuchadnezzar a great lesson when he arrogated to himself un-fetted powers.

GOD HAS NEVER, FORSAKEN MAN, LEFT GOVERNANCE.

Apostle Owusu-Bempah pointed out that God has never left governance (politics). Neither has he forsaken man. On the contrary, it is man who has forsaken God. He indicated that during those days of the Jews, God the ruled the people through prophets like Noah, Moses, Joshua, Samuel, and later Judges as Gideon, Samson, Deborah, and others. This system, he said was known Theocracy, whereby God the ruler, who is a spirit, does the ruling through man. Then came another system known as Monarchy where the people choose their leader through kings and Queens such as Britain and in other countries in Africa and Asia.

He stated that the third form of government was through democracy where the people choose their leader through the ballot, i.e voting. The Apostle stated that in all these forms of governance God plays a central role as can be seen in Romans 13:1. According to him, it was against this background that he did not agree with people who hold the belief that Christians should keep away from politics.

Apostle Owusu-Bempah indicated that the Bible has stated categorically that when the wicked rules, the people suffer. However, when a good man, with God-filled spirit rules, the people prosper.
