USA NDC Deputy Secretary Alleges Inaccuracies in NPP’s Performance Tracker

According to him, it is imperative for the government to launch the Performance Tracker to account for the people of Ghana who gave the NPP mandate to come to power.
Okyeame Kofi Adu, the Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the USA, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of inaccuracies in its recently launched performance tracker.
According to him, the tracker, which is meant to showcase the NPP administration’s progress on various development projects, has been loaded with some projects that are not at the percentage stage rated by the tracker.
Hon Okyeame Kofi Adu said, “even in some Constituencies in Oti Region where I hail from, some roads, bridges, school blocks that is Jasikan-Bodada road, bridge between Akaa and Akaa quarters and others mentioned in the tracker are nowhere to be found.”
“I am very disappointed at the NPP government for loading projects that are not on ground as projected by the Performance Tracker.” He said
He explained that the tracker may be presenting an inflated or misleading picture of the government’s actual achievements.
The NDC has consistently questioned the reliability of data presented by the NPP, often accusing the government of exaggerating its accomplishments.
This latest claim by the NDC’s deputy secretary in the USA is likely to further fuel the ongoing political debate over the NPP’s record in office and the credibility of its performance reporting mechanisms.

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, unveiled the Performance Tracker, a tool designed to promote transparency and accountability in the implementation of infrastructure projects throughout the country.
The NPP government’s Performance Tracker has met serious criticism from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) who claim the government has included some projects done by the then Mahama led NDC government.
Others also believe that the project is a misplaced priority considering the economic challenges and difficulties Ghanaians are going through.
