We Shall Stand with You – Ofosu Ampofo assures Disability Community.
Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo in the statement explained that, Disability is not inability but just a state of mind and affirms his commitment and that of his campaign team to improving the Living conditions of People Living with Disabilities (PLWD) especially those under the Umbrella party.
National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has said the creation of NDC National Disability Desk is an assurance to People Living with Disabilities(PLWD) that himself and the NDC party shall stand with the Disability Community at all times. He made this remark in a official statement to mark the International Day of People Living with Disabilities(PLWD).
Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo in the statement explained that, Disability is not inability but just a state of mind and affirms his commitment and that of his campaign team to improving the Living conditions of People Living with Disabilities (PLWD) especially those under the Umbrella party.
“As the world all over celebrates the International Day of People Living with Disabilities, Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and his Campaign Team wish to affirm that we shall stand with you always.” the statement said.
The statement further explained that the creation of a National Disability Desk by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a clear indication that Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo and the NDC shall stand with the Disability Community always.
“The creation of the NDC National Disability Desk in June 2020 is a testament that Chairman Samuel Ofosu Ampofo and the NDC shall always stay true with the Disability Community in Ghana and with specific emphasis on the Disability Community within the NDC.” The statement noted.
The statement also eulogized the NDC as the only party in the world with a dedicated desk for People Living with Disability, emphasizing their love and respect for minority interest in the country. The statement further assured the over 12.5% of Ghanaians living with Disability that himself, campaign team and the NDC will continue to support them as the world celebrates People Living with Disabilities (PLWD).

“We stand with you as the world stands with you as almost 12.5% of Ghanaians are Persons Living with Disabilities according to the 2020 Population and Housing Census report.” Statement emphasized.
