Why you must attend Church Service Today
This is what the early Church always did. And that kept them strengthened to keep expanding the kingdom despite dangers of life itself.
Church meetings are not fun or social gatherings. They are destiny encounter, life building and quickening grounds. After all the hustle and bustle and the attacks from dark forces we converge in a place we call church for reinvigoration to return to the battle front refired for more onslaught againt the devil.
Acts 4:17, 21, 23
[17] “But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. [21] So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done. [23] And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.”
In the scripture above, Satan through unbelievers ganged up against Peter and John. Satan fights us in gangs. We also have our own gang. But many of us aren’t taking advantage of it. When Peter and John were harassed they went back to their own company. Do you have your own company? Have you been too busy to return to your own company? The devil fights us in gangs. He tries to isolate and attack us individually. He knows as individuals its easier for him to get some of us. Don’t be isolated, always return to your company – the Church of God.
A gang inspired by satan attacked Peter and John, instead of fighting back as individuals they went back to their company to fight back. And the result of this singular action was a glorious one. Ladies and gentlemen, the purpose of Church service meetings is to refresh, motivate and inspire you to continue expanding the kingdom of God in the marketplace (your sphere of influence). You come to Church to be refuel so you can go back to refire. Out there in the market place we’ll face all sorts of attacks and challenges, we’re to return back to our own company for reinvigoration. This is what the early Church always did. And that kept them strengthened to keep expanding the kingdom despite dangers of life itself.
When special meetings are organized in the church it is for the purpose of concentrating and soaking ourselves for the days of the meeting, whether 3 or 7 or 21 or 30 days. The early church even had three (3) years long special meetings (Acts 20:31). Every opportunity to take out somedays to immerse yourself in the word and prayer should not be missed. Do everything you can to be at church service today and ensure to maximize the moment. The next special meeting in your denomination is an opportunity to be with your own company don’t let it slip away; today is such an opportune moment to worship, fellowship and break bread with the church folks so make sure you attend church today for the devil will easily get you if you refuse to attend church service today!
