Yilo MP to fix Obomkorkor-Nyuabeng bridge
The Honorable Member of Parliament (MP) for the Yilo Krobo constituency, Albert Tetteh Nyakotey, has visited the site of a Broken Bridge at Obomkorkor, in the Upper part of the Yilo Krobo Constituency.
The bridge, which serves as a link between Obomkorkor and Nyuabeng was constructed by the late Raymond Tawiah, the former MP for the area but has now become weak and broken preventing school children from Obomkorkor from crossing over to access Education at Nyuabeng, a community which hosts the only school in the area.
Upon the invitation by the Chiefs and community leaders from Obomkorkor and Nyuabeng, the MP visited the site in the company of the contractor and a representative from the Municipal Works Engineering Department.

The MP has since provided granite chipping, iron rods and cement for the rehabilitation of the bridge to begin immediately.
While awaiting the release and disbursement of the MP’s Common Fund, the Legislator for Yilo Krobo over the past weeks has financed from his private funds, and made headlines with the rehabilitation of the Apersua School block, a sod cut for the construction of a KG block for Samlesi-Amanga Community and some water projects dotted around the constituency. This new Project, adding to the above, complements his commitment to Education and also improving living standards of his people.
The Chiefs and Elders of both Obomkorkor and Nyuabeng were very grateful to Hon Albert Tetteh Nyakotey for coming to their aid.
