Strange: Chief’s Car Missing from Mallam Police Station

Ghananewsonline.com.gh has gathered that a Chinese picked up with registration number GS914-10 belonging to Nii Boye I, the Sein Tse of Gbawe Sakumono (Mallam junction) has mysteriously gotten missing from the Mallam Police station where it has been in police custody since September 14, 2020.

According to our information, Nii Boye also known as Adam Nana, was driving his car this particular day when he was attacked by a marauding mob in front of the police post at Mallam Junction. The group is believed to be headed by one Pampamku, a purported professed languard who is also claiming to be a chief of the area.

In the process Nii Boye was alleged to have been beaten to pulp after having been dragged from his car by the mob. The windscreen of the car was allegedly smashed by his attackers, while he was sent to the Odorkor police station, where it was alleged that he was locked up overnight. Our reports have it that the police then towed the car from the police post to the Mallam police station in whose custody it has been ever since and pending investigations. It is interesting to note that the case is pending before courts.

The Mystery of the Missing Car

According to our information, on Thursday June 3, 2021, the Sein Tse had information that his car could not be found at the station. His checks confirmed the said information. Our checks also showed that the car had been taken away for auction without the knowledge of the station officer. Further checks from the Mallam police station indicate that upon “instructions from above” the (Odorkor police station) ordered the release of the car for the auction.

When the station officer, one Asamaning was contacted on phone by the Sein Tse over the missing car he went beside himself and allegedly went to the station around 11:00pm to find out the veracity of the information. Apparently shocked by the mystery of the missing of the car, he invited Nii Boye to the Odorkor police station where before other officers he promised the chief of further investigations into the matter.

Meanwhile Nii Boye maintains that he has keys to the car and all papers on the car are with him.
