13th African Games: Black Satellites in Group A alongside Benin, Congo & The Gambia
Ghana are the defending champions having won the Male football competition at the 2011 edition of the African Games after beating South Africa 4-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time
The Black Satellites have been paired alongside Benin, Congo and The Gambia in Group A of the 13th African Games Male Football competition.
Ghana’s U20 team will represent the nation in the African Games which will be staged in Accra from March 8-23, 2024.
The CAF Executive Committee resolved that the eight Quarterfinalists at the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2023 together with the host Ghana will qualify for the event.
Also, the same age category applied during the TotalEnergies U-20 AFCON will be adopted for the African Games Male Competition.
Coach Desmond Ofei’s side are currently in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in preparation for the competition.
