2024 Elections: If anybody starts a fight, we shall complete it – Minority Chief Whip

The meeting forms part of the ‘Building Ghana tour’ embarked on by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama to the Volta Region.

Minority Chief Whip, Governs Kwame Agbodza has said that voters in the Volta Region will protect their votes in the 2024 elections.

He said in doing so, they will meet whoever foments trouble boot for boot.

“Volta Region is ready to protect the ballot, Volta Region will not be a crime scene. You can change the security chiefs, and make yourself the IGP or army commander, if you step foot in the Volta Region and attempt to rig the elections by hurting anyone, I will not tell you what to do, but write your will down before you come here. …We shall not start any fight because of the election, but if anybody starts a fight, we shall complete it,”  Mr Agbodza said during a meeting with party faithful in the region.

The meeting forms part of the ‘Building Ghana tour’ embarked on by the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama to the Volta Region.

After a two-week break for the Christmas and New Year festivities, Mr Mahama is currently in the party’s stronghold-  The Volta Region.

The former President, who is seeking a second and last presidential bid will be engaging stakeholders in the region on how effectively he should serve the people of Ghana amid the prevailing economic crisis.
