2026 WCQ: Black Stars travel to Kumasi today ahead of Madagascar game

The first two training sessions at Baba Yara which will be happen today and tomorrow will be behind closed doors according to the GFA.

The Ghana Football Association has confirmed plans to fly the Black Stars of Ghana to Kumasi today and not Wednesday, November 15, 2023.

As per the initial itinerary released by the GFA, the team was scheduled to depart Accra for Kumasi tomorrow but that has changed without reasons being provided.

The team’s scheduled training session at the Accra Sports Stadium will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium at the same time with two-thirds of the playing body already in camp.

The likes of Alidu Seidu, Iñaki Williams, Joseph Wollacott and Joseph Paintsil have been seen in camp last night.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Nurudeen Abdulai who were handed late call-ups to the national team have also reported and ready to depart for Kumasi as well.

Ghana will play Madagascar on Friday and then leave for Comoros on Saturday.
