Akufo-Addo Mourns The Passing Of Former First Lady Theresa Kufuor
President Akufo-Addo eulogized the late Theresa Kufuor who was a counselor and encouragement to her husband, President Kufour.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed sadness at the news of the passing of former First Lady, Mrs Theresa Kufuor who was the wife of 2nd President of the 4th republic, John Agyekum Kufuor.
The former First Lady, Theresa Kufuor was reported dead on Sunday at her home at Peduase surrounded by her family.
In a statement, president Akufo-addo described the deceased as ”a devoted companion of President Kufuor throughout their sixty-one year of marriage”.
President Akufo-Addo eulogized the late Theresa Kufuor who was a counselor and encouragement to her husband, President Kufour.
”She was an invaluable and constant source of advice, encouragement and prayers for him”, the statement noted.
According to President Akufo-Addo, the demise of the former First Lady reminds him ’’keenly of human mortality, that is that Almighty God will come for each and every one of us at the appropriate time”.
